Lukas Krzesinski

Best Man

Lukas and I met in the summer of 2004 during a Carleton University tour and as luck would have it, we ended up having an identical class schedule. As the university years flew by our friendship grew closer even though our schedules grew further part. After university we began traveling to many destinations near and far, including multiple pilgrimages to Miami for the Ultra Music Festival and A State Of Trance events. Lukas and Patrycja have been good friends from childhood and they have had many fun adventures of their own. Lukas is the reason PatrIgor came to be.

Interesting Tidbit: Lukas's favorite song is Sandwiches by the Detroit Grand Pubahs (so please request it). Also our resident Pyromaniac, Nazim, set him on fire during class...twice. Lukas also has an older brother named Slavek.

Nazim Ould-Brahim

Groomsman

Nazim and I met in middle school but we didn’t become good friends until high school. Many of our school lunches were spent playing cards and we would constantly be teaming up to work on school projects. As both of us had a passion for aircraft and engineering we started Aerospace Engineering at Carleton. Here we contiued to work togther and even though Nazim was a serial procrastior I could always count on him to get a project done. We had many great adventures both in class and outside and I would often have to reign in his lavish ideas. The memories, both here and afar will last us a lifetime.

Interesting Tidbit: Nazim was born in France, lived in Algeria and and was voted "Most Likely to Try to Take over the World" by our high school graduating class. His current progress is a little slow as he has only managed to take over a one acre plot of land with a lopsided barn. He is a husband and father to three girls.

Dragan Trifkovic

Groomsman

Dragan and I met in October 2003 during Carleton University Day and although we did not see each other after, we ended up being in the same Frosh group. We stayed good friends throughout university even though Dragan lived in the engineering building. This is why I made it my mission to drag him out his lab every weekend and into the nearest pub in order to prevent him from becoming a total workaholic. We shared many adventures all over Canada as well as Cuba, Florida, the Netherlands and Belgium. We also train Taekwon-do together and share a passion for Trance music. I often call him "my brother from another mother" and if I ever needed advice, Dragan was usually the first person I went to.

Interesting Tidbit: Dragan and I were both born in Sarajevo, he is a great soccer player and referee, and he is also very good at picking up languages. .

Karol Anweiler

Groomsman

Karol is Patrycja's favorite brother and often babysits Max while they travel all over the globe. Karol and I have spent many nights out with the gang going to action movies or just hanging out at home. Patrcyja and I especially enjoy going on double dates with Karol and his girlfriend, Carmen. As I don't have any siblings of my own, I am happy to be gaining a brother-in-law.

Interesting Tidbit: Karol is currently in his final year of studies at Carleton University in Economics and he was born in Germany. He has a black belt in Taekwondo and is very passionate about Brazilian Jujitsu.

Alan Johnson

Groomsman/Master of Ceremonies

Alan and I met in first year, but outside of engineering events we didn’t really start hanging out until later years. Our final year at Carleton was spent at the campus bar, the engineering labs and racing around the engineering building on swiveling chairs. It is during this year that our friendship really started to grow. Our mutual shenanigans is what kept us from going insane during the many working nights on campus. Since university Alan has always been on the move but we always stayed in touch.

Interesting Tidbit: Alan has been the MC at several weddings, is a country boy at heart and has a chant that's followed him since university. You will likely hear it soon..

Mike Lepine

Groomsman

Mike and I briefly met in university, but we did not really start hanging out until the whole gang began to re-discover the world outside of the engineering buildings. We started hanging out almost every weekend and pretty soon we were spending way too much time at a little bar called Avante Garde. Together we have traveled and partied in places like St. John's, Boston, and Montreal; with each city providing us lasting memories. This is especially true of his own bachelor party. Mike is also the only other father on the groomsmen team as he has a one year old daughter named Emily.

Interesting Tidbit: Mike engineers dangerous cocktails and his alter-ego is referred to as "The Captain." Ask any of us to tell you the story.
